Applied Water Treatment Inc. (AWT) is a multi-disciplinary company that provides water treatment consulting services to the mining industry. Our goal is to provide a site specific, cost-effective and innovative water treatment solution for treatment of acid rock drainage (ARD) and process wastewater.
Our team of highly qualified and experienced professionals have been providing technical expertise to government agencies, engineering and mining companies to solve their water treatment challenges at exploration and mining sites globally. Our team has been responsible for process development, plant design, construction, or retrofitting of over 100 water treatment facilities that have been consistently meeting stringent regulatory requirements.

Sohan has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry ranging from milling and processing, analytical laboratory, to managing a technology-based company focussed on water treatment processes for the mining industry.
Sohan has experience and is involved in all aspects of planning and operation with regard to Acid Base Accounting, heavy metal removal, solution purification, hydrometallurgical research and High density sludge pilot plant testing and plant design. He is involved in all aspects of engineering design of High Density Sludge Water Treatment Plants and has worked on numerous water treatment projects as a Senior Process Expert from initial process development to commissioning & operator training including water treatment plants at Britannia Mine, Climax Mine and Pueblo Veijo process and ARD treatment.

Prab Bhatia Water Treatment Consultant
Prab has over 10 years of experience in design of water treatment plants ranging from research, pilot testwork, flowsheet design, and plant optimization.
Prab has been involved in activities ranging from initial technology selection, testwork confirmation, development of mass balances, supervising the pilot-plant, developing capital and operating cost estimates, to commissioning and trouble shooting of water treatment plants. He has conducted over 15 onsite water treatment pilot plant studies for evaluating HDS process to produce higher density sludge and effluent that meets regulatory requirements.
